AAA Approved Auto Repair

AAA's Approved Auto Repair program provides you with assistance in selecting automotive repair facilities. Each facility that AAA selects must meet strict requirements regarding competency, reliability, cleanliness, overall experience, timely repairs, convenient hours, fair pricing, customer respect and trained, certified technicians.

When you present your AAA membership card at an Approved Auto Repair facility, you are also entitled to the following: Maintenance Inspection When your vehicle is serviced or repaired at one of AAA's Approved Auto Repair facilities, on request, your vehicle will be inspected at no charge for items most frequently contributing to roadside breakdown. You will also receive a written recommendation of any needed maintenance or repairs.

Written Estimates

You will be provided a written estimate of the cost of all work to be performed on your vehicle. The cost of work performed on your vehicle may not exceed the written estimate by more than 10% unless authorized by you in advance.

12,000 Mile/12 Month Warranty

Repairs, including parts and labor, are covered by a warranty of 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first (unless otherwise noted on the repair order).

Return of Old Parts

As evidence of work performed, all replaced parts are returned to you upon request, prior to work being performed, with the exception of those that must be returned to the manufacturer under a warranty or exchange program. For additional information please call 1-800-452-1643.

Mercury Switch Out Program

Recent environmental and DEQ concerns have been raised regarding the amount of mercury (liquid) entering the soil and water table from motor vehicles. Generally, only those vehicles salvaged present a problem. However, many vehicle owners who replace defective mercury switches disregard proper disposal of these switches by placing them in the trash. Mercury activated switches can be found (if so equipped) under the engine hood and trunk of most vehicles. To help alleviate this concern, your local Approved Auto Repair facility will replace old mercury switches with metallic gravity switches.
